General Conditions of Sale of the “LE COTTET” camping

Booking a stay implies full acceptance of our general conditions. In order to be able to benefit from the services offered by Camping LE COTTET, we ask you to read the general conditions carefully. These conditions cover your entire stay and are valid at the time of placing the order.

1- BOOKING CONDITIONS.

The reservation becomes effective only with the agreement of the LE COTTET camping, after receipt of the deposit and after receipt either of the reservation contract duly completed and signed within 10 days, or after acceptance of the general conditions of sale during the online booking.

Payments can be made by cash, credit card or bank transfer.

Reservations only bind Camping LE COTTET if the camping has accepted them, we keep the possibility to execute your order or refuse it, depending on availability and, in general, on any circumstances likely to harm the execution of the reservation made.

Camping LE COTTET offers family-oriented stays, in the traditional sense, the accommodations are specially designed for this purpose. The camping reserves the right to refuse any reservation which would be contrary to this principle, or which would seek to divert it.

The reservation of a camping area or mobile home rental is made on a strictly personal basis. Under no circumstances may you sublet or transfer your reservation without the prior consent of the camping administration approval.

Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Camping area

The areas includes: the area for a tent, a caravan or a trailer, electricity is in addition to the price of the rented area, a place for a vehicle, access to sanitary facilities and reception facilities .

Rentals

The rentals are all equipped. The LE COTTET camping reserves the right to refuse access to the camping to groups or families arriving with a number of participants greater than the capacity of the rented accommodation.

2- GROUP RESERVATIONS.

Any reservation of more than 4 accommodations by the same person or by different persons who know each other and travel together for the same reasons on the same dates of stay, is considered as a group.

. The accommodation offered on the website is intended exclusively for individual customers.

. For any group booking request, you must contact Camping LE COTTET by phone, e-mail or on our website under the “contact us” section.

. We reserve the right to study the reservation request before accepting or refusing it.

3- RATES AND TOURIST TAX.

The prices indicated are per day, in euros and inclusive of tax and they can be modified without notice. The contractual price is firm and fixed at the time of the customer’s reservation. Any change or modification of the VAT rate, as well as any change in the taxes applicable to your stay on the date of invoicing, will be passed on to the price of your stay. The amount of the tourist tax varies according to the community of municipality of which the camping is part and is a daily supplement for anyone over 18 years old. (0.20€ in 2022)

The price of accommodation or camping area does not take into account the number of people present. To calculate the total amount of the stay, you must add the amount of accommodation or camping area as well as the amount for each person present.
– For rentals, the price indicated is regardless of the number of people
– For camping areas the price indicated corresponds to 1 Areas + 1 person + 1 vehicle

4- PAYMENT TERMS

Any reservation made will generate a deposit of 30% of the amount of the stay and the balance will be paid on the day of arrival. For last minute reservations, less than 10 days before arrival, full payment may be requested.

5- NO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with Article L.221-28-12° of the Consumer Code, Camping LE COTTET informs its customers that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date, or according to a specific frequency, is not subjected to the provisions relating to the withdrawal period of 14 days.

6- CANCELLATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS

1- Modification of your reservation

The customer can request the modification of his stay at the LE COTTET camping (dates or type of accommodation) on written request (mail or e-mail) subject to availability and possibilities. Failing any modification, the Customer must make his stay under the initial booking conditions or cancel it according to the conditions of the cancellation insurance if he has taken one, otherwise the deposit will be lost.

. Any request to increase the length of your stay will be made subject to availability and according to the rates in force.

. Any request to reduce the duration of your stay is considered as a partial cancellation and will be subject to the terms and conditions for cancellations and interruptions of stay.

2- Services not used

Any interrupted or shortened (late arrival, early departure) stay will not lead to a reimbursement.

3- Cancellation due to the camping

In the event of cancellation by the camping, except in cases of major forces, the deposit will be fully refunded.

4- Cancellation by the camper

Cancellation costs may be covered by the guarantees taken out by the camper. No reimbursement will be made by LE COTTET camping.

7- YOUR STAY

1- Arrival

a-Rental

The arrival day for the rental week is Saturday for the high season and can be defined for another day according to management’s agreement in the lower season. You will be welcomed the day of your arrival from 3 p.m. and a deposit of 300 euros will be requested before the keys are handed over. It is up to you to make the inventory and to inform us of the missing objects. Without any return on your part to the inventory of fixtures at your installation, Camping LE COTTET reserves the right to keep the deposit in the event of a problem, breakage or lack of equipment when you leave.

b-Locations

The day of arrival at the camping is free.

For rentals: arrivals are from 3 p.m.

For camping areas: arrivals are from 12 p.m.

2- During your stay

It is up to the camper to take out insurance. The camping declines all responsibility in the event of an incident relating to the civil liability of the camper. All customers must comply with the provisions of the house rules. Each tenant or camper is responsible for the disturbances and nuisances caused by the people who stay with him or visit him. All visitors must be reported to reception to state their identity. A fee of 5 euros will be requested for a visit of 2 to 12 hours for the use of the camping’s infrastructures. Any visitor found to be in violation on your camping area and not presented at reception will be excluded from the camping and billed directly on the invoice of the person hosting them. Beyond this time, the visitor will be billed at the current nightly rate. We remind you that any incident noted concerning this piint will generate the responsibility of the visitor as well as that of the customer affiliated with this one. Any free or paid activity mentioned in our commercial brochure or on our website or in an e-mail may in certain circumstances be modified or canceled upon your arrival.

3- Departure

a-Rental

On the day of departure indicated on your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated at 10am and must be returned in a perfect state of cleanliness. The inventory will be checked, any broken or damaged object will be your responsibility as well as the restoration of the premises, if necessary. The withholding of the deposit does not exclude additional compensation in the event of a cost exceeding the amount of the deposit. If the accommodation has not been cleaned, a cleaning fee of 50 euros including tax will be charged.

For any delayed departure, you may be charged an additional day at the current nightly rate. The deposit will be returned to you on the day of your departure if everything is in order.

b-Locations

The location must be vacated before noon. For any late departure, you may be charged an additional night.

8- ANIMALS

Animals are accepted with respect for hygiene rules and respect for other residents of the camping. They must be kept on a leash, and you must have an up-to-date vaccination record. Animals must not be locked up in rentals in the absence of their owner.

We ask that you take your animals to relieve themselves in the forest next to the camping. In any case, you are required to collect the poops .

9- DISPUTE and MEDIATION

Any possible complaint concerning the non-compliance of the services with the contractual commitments can be reported by an official letter with acknowledgment of receipt or e-mail to the camping management team. If the answer does not satisfy you, you have the possibility of contracting a mediation center.

10- RESPONSIBILITY OF THE camping

The customer expressly acknowledges that Camping LE COTTET cannot be held responsible, due to the communication by its partners or by any third party, of false information which would be mentioned in the brochure or the website concerning the reception sites, and including presentation photos, qualifiers, activities, hobbies, services and dates of operation. All photos and texts used in the brochure or the website are non-contractual. They are indicative only. It may happen that certain activities and facilities offered by the camping, and indicated in the description in the brochure, are cancelled, in particular for climatic reasons or in the event of force majeure as defined by the French courts.

11- COMPUTER AND FREEDOM

The information you provide when placing your order will not be passed on to any third party. This information will be considered confidential. They will be used only by the internal services for the treatment of your order and to reinforce and personalize the communication and the offer of services reserved for customers of Camping LE COTTET according to your areas of interest. In accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, you have the right to access, rectify and oppose personal data.
