The Pilat massif is located in the Loire department in the south-east of the town of Saint-Étienne and in the south-west of the towns of Vienne and Givors. It dominates the Rhone and the Gier valleys.
Our massif is bordering with 4 departments: the Rhône, the Isère, the Ardèche and the Haute-Loire but also only a few steps away from the drome

Situated between Saint-Etienne and the Rhône Valley, Pilat is made up of small regions with very distinct characters.
They are opposed by their climates, their landscapes, their types of habitats or their methods of land development. The whole constitutes a mid-mountain massif, a veritable water tower for the towns of the nearby valleys.
The Pilat Regional Natural Park extends over 700 km². The slopes of the Rhône, land of fruit trees and vines, follow the highlands of forests and livestock. Forests, beech woods, slopes of broom and plateaus of meadows are all characteristic landscapes of Pilat.

The medieval village of Malleval, which, from the top of its rocky outcrop, overlooks the Rhône and offers, weather permitting, an unforgettable view of the Alps. A short walk between rocks and cacti will take you to the SAUT DE LORETTE, a magnificent waterfall.

Apples from Pilat, cold cuts, honey, rigottes de Condrieu (special cheese), wines are happily married by the local gastronomy with the famous wines of Côtes-Rôties, St Joseph and Condrieu.
